That would be typical of Ammonia... I wonder...

I found (in another thread, thanks to hmale) another product:
Silkolene ProCCA.
It's blue, and you don't have to put a lot in your rig (so it won't affect the cooling capabilities of water). Mostly though, it doesn't smell bad!!!

Check it out at www.silkolenestore.com

It's pricey though, at 10.99 (+10.00 shipping!) for 100 mL, or 14.99 for 500 mL.

I think WW smells like cat piss.. it really does..

But no matter.. my new phase change water chiller will have a completely sealed resevior.. so I won't smell it

I used Purple Ice in my first setup and the only things I know is, it didn't smell bad(completely open res so I would have smelled it, and it tastes really bad...

Yeah. But consider 2 secondary effects:
- Your GF or any person you'd talk to would run away from the stench
- Your sweat would be pink

well your answer lies in here:

http://www.geocities.com/xdigitalchaosx/corrosion/

and a thread that has alot more info about it, but its 9 pages long of us learning wtf was going on: http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/sho...ght=purple+ice

to make a long story short, waterwetter seems to do a bit better because purple ice seems to separate and make a cloudy film. BUT this was in a standing cup. I still have these tests going and i will take some pictures one of these days. along with a summary of that 9 page thread.
