2 weeks ago i had my Aquacomputer Twinplex blocks for the GPU and NB.
They look exactly like on the photos (see aquacomputer.de), if not better. The finish is excellent, the bottom is flat and has mirror finish. The retention mechanism is well thought, it's a metal plate that sits between the plexiglass and the copper, next to the o-ring. You can swap metal plates to mount the block on different cards... well done. The water channel is special, see the pictures, it's a kind of 'N'. The barbs on GPU block are high enough so they pass over the RAM sinks, however i lost the next PCI slot. I had only 2 minor griefs: - barbs are metal (i ordered straight 3/8" barbs, no plug'n'cool). My tubing stick to them like hell, thats good for leaks but i hope the plexi wont crack. GPU and chipset are cooler than CPU so thermal cycles wont be such a problem though. - the 3mm nylon screws that came with the blocks are puny. They bend and cannot hold the load of a WB + tubing connection / disconnection... I had to replace those with 3mm metal screws, hopefully they are common enough. I also had to re-seal a barb which had a (very small) leak, no biggie, this is the retailer who didnt do his job properly (i didnt order them from aquacomputer directly). They've been running for 2 weeks and i'm satisfied with the quality of these products. My temps climbed up about 2°C for the water and 5°C for the CPU, however my rad is a piece of sh*t (thats my next step, buy a good rad). A must have for Europeans. Currently only DangerDen sells similar blocks in the US. |

Hey Gmat
I have ordered my watercoolingsetup today at Multimediashop I paid 440 Euro, but that is also with shipping costs, and alot of stuff besides. I will deffently write back, cause I remember you asked me to do so when the hole thing was running. ![]() I have not ordered the EVO with the clips, but with the 4xscrews mounting plate. I use PlugnCool....only 6mm :S But what the heck...just want this to be silent and easy. I am goind to place everything in my Chieftec Maxi. |

![]() ![]() Ak 6mm... aint that 8mm OD ? May be somewhat restrictive... I think 10mm (aka 3/8" for those in the US) is the bare minimum for trouble-free cooling. But if you're sticking to cooling the CPU (with such an apparently good block...) that will be no problem i guess. Oh and ultimately you can change the barbs to something bigger... Anyway tell us how it goes and how is this CuPlex EVO really.. If it's as good as those TwinPlex blocks get prepared for a good surprise ! |

Sorry, for answering so late.
lol....yes it's alot of money.....but well....if I would buy a DangerDen system in DK it would have been the same price. And it just looks so goddamn good ![]() I have ordered som neon light etc. I have only bought cooling for the CPU and GPU. But just wait....it's going to be a blast ![]() oh....and I have ordered some Legris connections. It is this one.. Legris connection Click on the upperight showbutton and see the idea ![]() I will buy 2 of those. Cause then I can implant a big res. when I'am at home, and unmount the big res. very quickly when I am going to a LAN party or something. It's really no water that are alowed to escape, when connecting and disconnecting. I will buy a glass aquarium as res. Sealed of course. |

And I really dont care about flowrate.....just aslong it dosnt get below the 60l/hr. where the temps will rise dramaticly.
Therefore I will have something that you wont like.......90 degress elbows....and there will be many of those, cause I use hard hose....not Tygon or Silicone. One question I have.... Destiled water cant conduct electricity. But if i dont use "innovaprotec", will the reaction between the alu and cu still create a batteri effect ? I know it does in regular water....but I dont know with destiled water. |

destilled water will conduct electricity from the moment it has been contaminated, granted very little, but I don't know how much it takes for the battery effect to be a concern.
without an addittive you still have algea to fight off .... so I would use some innovaprotect or similar, if nothing else, just for the peace of mind ...
