anyone know what is the fastest DDR RAm that can go into the 8KHA+ MB? I was looking at the 3200 c2 ram but I dont think it will work with the chipset.
ANYONE?

The manual and site says 2100
But when have we ever listen to what the manual said????? hell the book also says that only X amount of voltage can be put into the processor. Now with my little fluke clips and some wire........... I get ......... you get the idea. Just askin to see if anyone has tried putting higher ram into these boards. Dats all

As far as I know, You can put the DDR400 Cas2 in that motherboard.
I dont think the DDR400 matter at all....it will just run DDR333 instead of DDR400....until you OC it that is ![]() |

Since max FSB is 199, DDR400 would be a waste, unless you plan to re-use it in a future system.
DDR333 seem like the best choice, to make sure that you can hit 166FSB, if that's your goal. |

Hey I own that mobo, I realy love this one, for me one of the best mobo Epox made. I run Corsair pc2700c2 ddr at 185 MHz most agressive timings at 3.1V, but I hit a wall at 193Mhz no matter what timing I use can't get pass that, and it's not my devices holding me back, because I ran that board 210 (memory at 3/4) and everything work IBM hdd on udma 66, NIC, and my modem without any problem except I have to change agp transfer to 2x to run 3d with ATi 8500, this board is much faster then 8k3a.
And for your question on using pc3200, yeah go ahead use it but use most agressive timings with lower fsb, most pc3200 ddr don't even run at cas2 2-5-2 1T so it doesn't matter anyway. Just for comparison my memory bench at 190 cas2 2-6-3 1t is some 150mb/s faster then friends 8k5a at 210 using relaxed timings. Also all 3d programs realy likes agressive timings, and that's what counts not just fsb.
