Default review my setup... my temps high?

i'll start out with all the revelant specs

axp 1600+ aroia 0213 y
OCed to 1.57ghz (150fsb) default voltage
iwill kk266-r (kt133a)
2x256 mushkin rev3+
gf3 ti200 @ 210/480
audigy
kingston nic

spir@l original with bolt on cold plate
dtek heater core using dually shouds
2x120mm panaflow M1As
eheim 1250
172w pelt @ approx 16-18v
1/2" silicon tubing
samlex sec 1223 psu (small reho turned to max for highest voltage output)

ambient: 24C
case: 25C
load: 30C
idle: 26-27C

ok i just set this up. yeah i know i'll get a new mobo with ddr soon enough, once i get the cash. i just burnt up my axia 1.0 not seating the waterblock correctly but thats another story

load temps with that axia 1.0 @ 1.2 max vCore was about 35C with ambient at 25C straight water cooling....

those temps seem quite unusually high for a system like this... espically a 172w @ ~18v. the XPs should be throwing out that muc heat... or am i mistaken? i was expect just about ambient load temps but not 5 above.

when i put the cold plate on i cross-tightened all 4 bolts quite tightly... hell i even heard some faint cracking noises when i did it.... i hope i didnt damage the pelt. the cold plate gets cold before i turn the system on fine but it does take a little while longer than i expected tho.

i havnt run a pelt system for about 14 months now so i gotta get reaquainted with the whole setup.

In Socket temps are usally very very wrong so dont use them as an indication to your true temps. How cold does it get when its not on the processor?

i didnt test that out, i was too jittery to wait for that.

the system crashed while i was out since i posted the original thread. blue screen saying hardware failur or some crap. everything is ok and working fine now tho.

when i first booted the system back up the air off the radiator was warm to the feel (dont have extra thermometer) but after a few mins and opening my window its fine now.... ****er sure heats up my room fast tho
