D-tek customs cooler core rad
3/8 barbs and sweet shroud 57$ liquidcool.org monolith pushin 3/8 40$ to be used w/ my 131CFM fan... both the rads are exactly the same except for the barbs, but the monolith costs less, then again the shroud will really enhance my performance. opinions and experiences excepted with gratitude! ![]() |

Tough call. I think it comes down to how much you want to pay. Performance difference between the 2 is almost nothing- that core will take more heat then you can possibly give it. But the coolness factor is awesome on the fan ducted core.
One question though, why 3/8? The awesome thing about the DTek core was that it was easy and cheap to get 1/2 inch. Edit: spelling [ 10-12-2001: Message edited by: redleader ] |

Your call... shrouds will increase performance, but you could make one. Or if you don't want to, just fork out the $17.

i am going with 3/8 because it is what my poly block is rigged for and to put in 1/2" fittings(which only come in 1/4NPT or bigger),I would have to drill and re-tap my block and seeing as i have neither a drill press or a tap it seems it would be easier to go with 3/8.
and Michael.. including a well made fan shroud for less than 10.00 woul'd throw my decision in your favor. |
