Well all I can say is it aint pretty, but it works
![]() Basicaly took apart my 12 volt converter and shoe horned the pieces under the water res. Replaced that loud 80mm Rad Crap fan with a 12 volt fan I robbed out of an old power supply. Now the 12 volt fan pushes enough air too keep the power supply cool and blows a bit on the water pump too, so all is good. The 120mm fans make a little noise but not enough to where my old ears will hear it once its under the desk. I will go full 12 volts on the fans and fully automatic on the rebuild probably in Feb. I still use the 115 volt big fans on the rads for now and using 2 of the slide controls although I could probably just wire those two direct as they were not the cause of the noise. So with that I am back on track and should have some photos mid week of the tower and its guts. Thanks again for all your suggestions and help Aardil |
