Default NewQ Equalizer question.

Just wondering , if you have one of those Drive bay NewQ equalizer's do you need to have a normal sound card as well? All my sound is on my motherboard. So would that work or does it have to be like a high quality motherboard with multiple outs etc... just curious.. --bikr

NewQs are only equalizers...you need a sound card.

Use what you got...the purpose of the EQ is to allow you to adjust different scales or whatever and make the music and sounds the way you want them to sound.

As long as the sound card works is all that matters I believe.

onboard sound is fine as matter of fact its better than fine.
I hooked it up to my moms comp wich has my old sblive and it sounded beyond bad but on my onboard sound its sounds great.
New q is a bay amp/eq and the new q plat is a bay amp/eq/fmstereo.
i have new q plat.
Dont waste your money on a supper high end sound card to use with the new q you will be sorry strait 2 chan or 4 char is whats best for new q or maybe even a sound card liek the live with out sound blasters drivers just use drivers that will run the base function of the card you dont want eax sound from the sound card running in to the new q that ads alot of that it self your doubling up on it.
O yeh one more thing remeber new qs aree also amps so they can easly blow low end speakers
