Reader Worklogs?

Hey so guys I got a plan here!

Since the Staff on ProCooling is shrinking to a small number of 3 (which only 2 are truly active and even that is a stretch), I am going to add something to the front page. Reader Worklogs.

Under the Staff worklogs, there is going to be a Reader worklog area. wiht 2 or 3 spots. it will be a dynamic area that the last 2 or 3 worklog threads will be shown. Not sure how the "shown" part will be picked. It will either be by the last 2 Threads that are posted or the last 2 threads that have been replied to.

Let me know what you think.

hmmm, i will need to think about that, i really like the idea of readers sending in their own artciles - i hope to do one as soon as i do something different (i dont think a guide on how to watercool normally will be interesting... to anyone)
i think it encorages much more vairiation in ideas and definatly solves the staff shortage problem

but a reader worklog?....

nah, i cant really imagine how it would go:

'read new article, finnished that then got board so i went and looked at porn'

i just dont know what someone would write in it

Could this be a part of the prize for "Pro/Geeks"? Along with the intangibles, you also get a worklog of your own for a while?

There are people on the forums that "do" more than I do regularly

Well I think lots of people like to discuss their personal projects that they are working on. You can find that peppered through threads all over the forum... This would provide a forum specificly just for discussing projects they are working on.

Also Joe I am not sure how this will effect the Pro/Geeks thing from the standpoint that if everyone is posting a reader worklog of the project then the readers arent really getting anything "new" when the article is up.
