The symbols change but the numbers are all the same. This is a very good implementation of an old trick.

Like The Tick says, when you do this algorithm you always get a multiple of 9.

Check out all the multiples of 9 have the same symbol each round.

Try this.. take a deck and grab a few cards from the top , 10 - 15 etc.. wahtever.. shuffle them up and grab one look at it and put it on top of the deck.. now if your card was 7 you take 7 cards from the rest of the deck and put it on top. if your card was an 8 8 cards etc.. ace = 1 jack = 11 queen = 12 , king =13 etc.. those are the cards you put on top of your card.. put the pile holding your card on top of the full deck and start typing cards 1 by 1 , ie 2c , 3s ,4c,5d,.. or whatever the cards are.. post the list here , and as long as you've passed your card and went in order from top card down , and do as many as you like i can probly get your card.. =) --Josh
