Will Innovatek Tank-O-Matic restrict my flow?

I am kind of eying the Innovatak Tank-O-Matic (probably the plugon), but I am concerned about the flow through the fittings. I am using a system with 1/2" ID tubing, and I know from experience (have the Innovatek WBs) that I can replace the fittings on the Tank-O-Matic for 1/2" ID tubing. But I can't see from the pictures how narrow the internal ducts from the fittings to the tank are. Will these restrict my flow?

I'll take a stab at this and say that yes it will restrict your flow, here's my thinking on it.

Most pumps tend to have a larger inlet then outlet, meaning as I take it that in a perfect setup the pump can potentially suck more then it pushes. If you step the inlet down to the same size as the outlet there may be some performance loss but maybe not a noticeable one. However if you restrict the inlet below the size of of outlet I would think that you would definitely begin to notice a loss in flow. The narrow channels on the res would in effect be reducing pump inlet size below the outlet. I could be wrong on all this, but it make sense to me, and the cost of the Tank o matic is just a little to high to experiment with.

Yep, got the same feeling on it. And that's just it. For 20 bucks I might give it a whirl...but almost 60...

Thx
