Default i'm on a posting rampage! ---gaming mice

ok, just thought i'd throw this out there. last i checked, there were still some available. i'm looking at buying a new mouse, the same as my current one, because my current one has had a lot of abuse and is getting a little old. unfortunately, i can only purchase these in quantities.

i am looking into buying some razer boomslang 2000's. anyone that has used these know they're pretty much the most accurate mice available, very ergonimic, and improve gaming and photshop-like stuff immensely. they are a whopping 2000 dpi. truly amazing devices, i have not found anything that compares as of yet.

if anyone is interested, let me know. i can get quantities as low as 3, and i would be willing to deal with most likely having 2 (one extra for good measure.. or my other desktop could really use it).

dpi and refresh rate are two different stories. If it has awesome dpi but slow refresh it won't perform as well as a mouse with lower dpi and higher refresh. 99.9% of us wouldn't need anything greater than 800 dpi anyway.

true... but the razer runs fast too. i used to be able to adjust that part, but there aren't xp drivers. the 2000 dpi is very handy in photoshop tho, and for those exceptionally long-range head shots.

btw, has anyone used the mx700? it looks pretty much the same as the 500, but cordless. just curious, been somewhat afraid of cordless mices, but it's a cool idea.

http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/gaming/371a/ still sells them, but for $90 big ones!!! Geeze, I remember them being $80 when they were new at BB (in fact I remember them being on clearence for REAL CHEAP and being bummed out I didn't have the 40)- $90 for a mouse!!

Pricewatch still has the 1000s for $42 shipped.

I've got the logitech dual mouseman optical 2x800dpi
great for gaming etc... no problems with it.
looks to be around $35 but I'm sure you can find it cheaper

i can get them a lot cheaper than $90/ea, larger discounts on volume. so, if anyone is interested still, lemme know.

i might try out that mx700 anyways, just for fun. but i still love the razers

i'm not looking to make $$ here, just trying to benefit myself, and maybe someone else too

yeah, some people can't get used to them

hey, has anyone used the mx700 with a kvm? i'm looking at probably getting a switch for my setups, but keeping one mouse would be somewhat beneficial. i imagine you'd lose most of the buttons with it, unfortunately.

oh yeah, i'm also kinda looking towards iogear for the kvm. i think i want to go with a good usb kvm, probably 4 computers, although i could get by with 2.
