cheap cpu simulator

i wasnt sure to put this..

n e ways is there any other way in which i can make a cpu simulator like this?
where can i get those heaters? and what do i connect them to?

just a basic one would be fine. <$50 would be great. i already have the copper flarbars and a compunurse(is it good enough) to get temps. all im getting in this is temps, not flow rate and all that deep end stuff

my main problem is heating the thing up? im thinking of propping the copper bar on top of 2 pieces of wood, and underneath the copper i could use a chafing dish canned flame thing. how long do those flames last?

i dont want to test on my own comp, after i know it will be fine on a test like this

this (dare I say it ??) site is kinda moving away from things SO cheap, SO poorly designed, and SO poorly constructed
that shit results can be the only product

many descriptions of heat die simulators around
here, overclockers, dansdata, etc

aim higher than your shoelaces, it is much more educational

so about how much did you spend on your simulator? looks like ~$300

i cant seem to find the one on dansdata

Might I suggest the following? It's even cheaper, offers comparable accuracy, and features faster results.

Note that calibration is required as you'll typically need to add 30°C to the "tester's" result for proper accuracy.

Bill, what happens when the room temperature varies?

Also, how do you ensure that the thermal compound is spread always in the same way?

Where can I get one of them, [H]?

A CompuNurse is about as accurate as your system, so maybe just use your system?

omg i think i will just use my cpu to test stuff. reading through those articles(i read like 4), not only do i have a headache...i feel that i have opened a bigass can of worms. the time it would take to tune and calibrate, and the money that would be spent just to simulate it would exceed what my teacher wants. i think that if i just want to watch temps, a cpu will do.

its a good thing that you do write those reviews with all those technical things. keep up the good work dood
