anybody played this yet?
SPLINTER CELL. for the pc. i'm at the last level. this game is r0x0rz. best game for a while for pc, i'd even pit it up against ut2003. really worth the money.
there are a lot of issues getting the game to work, esp. with a radeon, but i got mine to work fairly painlessly, and it's awesome.

yeah, and ut2003 had some nasty SafeDisk problems too, that was a total bitch. me and a friend bought 2 copies, niether would install. so, we swapped disc sets, and it worked. wtf?
i had problems with splinter cell's graphics and my 9700 pro, but after i installed the newest drivers from ati, it worked perfectly. the graphics were awful before the new drivers. make sure you have all the newest drivers, and if it's a safedisk issue, you may try a newer cdrom. i was really surprised with the graphics issue tho, my drivers weren't that old. also, download the 1.1 patch. that helps too in a lot of areas. is it not loading the install, or not loading the game?

very good single player game indeed. allthough it takes a monstrous pc to play it decently.
for the best multiplayer game ever (and its free) try americas army

I played it a while ago for the X-box I dont know how anyone can play a FPS without a mouse and keyboard. It was way to hard on xbox to be any fun. Americas Army game is pretty cool although the maps are too small for sniping to be effective and grenade kill radius is WAY too big for the size of the maps.

but hey, there's alot more to AA then sniping. i love how a map like pipeline takes about a 100 runs to get to know all the nooks and crannies where opfor can hide. nothing gets my adreneline pumping like when u know that u r the last man standing of your team.
the nade blast radius is large, but if u want to use em effectively, u almost cannot use em, u would TK that often that u would get kicked all the time. that is on the CQB maps when after the first minute u never know if it is opfor or your own team. i don't like the big outdoors maps.

Thats funny the only thing i do like about the game are the larger out door maps. I feel that the small maps are too restrictive and unrealistic.

well, beat the game the other night, first run through on hard.
damn, sweet ****ing game. "hard" doesn't seem to change much of the gameplay, except 1 shot you die, 8 shots they die. from a 5.56x42. yikes!
