I have a choice between a Swiftech MCW372-B Water Block
and a DD Maze 3 and I want to know which one performs better. |

"Performs" ?
Which pump, which rad, which tubing, airtrap or res or fill tube, how many turns, how many elbows, how many fittings, are there any other blocks, which case, which CPU ? Without knowing all that i'll answer: they perform the same. buy the one that suits you more, by the looks, or price, or the mounting system, or the hype, or whatever. forget about "performance" as they're both very good blocks. if you really want to know about performance: "your mileage may vary" is the best answer i can give you now. (edit) i'd tell you to buy a D-Tek TC-4 or a Innovatek Rev3 instead, but the choice is yours. |

The true question would be what block is more efficient per BillA's test. What is the C/W. Do any of these companies post that info?

So... does DD and swiftech post these numbers. My first guess would be no. How could one tell which block is better? I certainly dont think that reading marketing material will get someone "all the way there."

Because of a few capacitors stupidly placed around my processor socket I will get a Mace 3 block (as soon as my car is repaired). There doesn´t seem to be room for a large Swiftech. Maybe I´m wrong, but the Mace 3 and the Swiftech are so close in performance (in the tests I´ve read, mainly on overclockers.com) I´ll live happily with the Mace 3.
regards Mikael S. I hate my car for the moment |
