Just curious, which do you prefer, the Enermax EG465AX-VE with FCA or the Vantec Stealth 420?
I've had an Enermax for 3 years with multiple component upgrades and it has given me no problems, but its time to upgrade again and i hear vantec's is pretty good. |

Vantec PSUs have better stability under load than Enermax ones. And are more silent. Actually Enermax are very average when it comes to electronics quality.
You want best PSUs ? Antec Truepower line (for noisy / multifan), Zalman or QT Tech (for silent) |

After what I just went through with my own computer, I would have to agree with gmat. I went from an Enermax 550W unit to the Antec TruePower 550W and it cleared up LOTS of stability problems instantly.

a 200w AT power supply has a better chance of powering a modern computer than anything from enermax

Fortron/Sparkle (same PSUs, different fans)
300w Fortrons can out power most generic 550W PSUs. Great quality as well. |
