Default Anybody know anything about this WB?

I saw the water block shown here some time ago and I was wondering whether or not anyone had any info on it. Anybody?

The only testing that I saw didn't have any temps, just sandra and 3dmarks which are worthless.

Seeing that it does not rely on the Athlon pads for stability, this block, IMO (In my opinion), shouldn't even be commercialized.

The pads help tremendously to prevent core-crushing accidents, regardless of the clip used. A quick hose tug could destroy the CPU here.

At your own risk.

That aside, there are no details on the insides. Are you able to dig something up for us?

Someone says something about the pads here I can tell because it says "pads".

I think that it then goes on to say. "Ain't that funked up?" or words to that effect. Something "grande" then something about a shim.

I wish that I could read portuguese...

Later that day...

Babelfish, you is my only friend!

No, really? You lie! CBONE's comment

This is not dangerous? The risk to chip die is great! For the photo tb seemed me q would not advance to use shim. Would have some another form to improve the setting reducing the risk for die?

Nothing on the guts yet. I did find better testing though.

Its on the website , because i can read portuguese ( ) , i'll translate, to the letter :

-----------------------
Chrome finish. Only the contact area is used for the final finish (probably a mirror finish).

The base is made of electrolitic copper, it has internally 19 pins also made of electrolitic copper, with 16mm lenght and 3mm diameter. The "lid" is in copper alloy (brass) and the inlets for the 5/16 inch hoses (+/-) are molded in copper , and plug in type, no need for clamps.

The final weight is 100 grams and can carry 18ml of liquid. The height is 23mm , 40mm with the top bolt.

The clamp uses the 3 ends on each side and the material has a an equal resistance of the socket plastic. The pressure ajustment is manual (top bolt), with no use of tools.

-----------------------

I think it's it gives a clear image of the interior. A Hoot type block, but with a different casing, and probably a middle wall "separator" to keep all the pins in full use.
