I was given this radiator over the weekend.
It has never been used, made by a German company Langerer & Reich. The fin area is about 14" by 21". Now I just need to figure out what to do with IT! |

You do nothing. It is aluminum, and unless you want to use a crappy aluminum block, you will suffer corrosion.

if you used several anti corrosion agents in conjunction with water wetter it would be alright...
and if you machined your own type block with al it wouldnt be more than a few degrees C difference But that whole thing is a waste if you woulod just use it in a normal watercooling set up... You need to find soemthing to do with that beaut |

Anticorrosives reduce corrosion, but do not completely eliminate it. The only other way is to use an easily maintainable sacrificial anode.

![]() But this is besides the point.. in a normal watercooling set up taht would be overkill because no matter how much air it put out it will only lower it to room temperature |

Nope... Not Zinc!
The Aluminium will corrode easier than the zinc and therefor the zinc will be even faster corroded... Look at this article: http://www.overclockers.com/tips1041/ It sums up to that the only good metal to stop the AL from corroding would be an aloy of Magnesium... |
