Default Rediculous

I think I'm gonna re-label my watercooling website - How to Over-Engineer Anything Without Really Trying.

In an effort to create a super-clean duct installation, my new radiator duct design resulted in almost 50 separate pieces *just* for the radiator section. This doesn't count the 50+ 6-32 machine screws that will hold it together.

The drive bay section is a lot less complex holding stead at just four pieces.

I haven't even gotten to the point where I'm ready to talk about the span section. I started looking at receipts, and I started this whole adventure back on April 4th. I've been working on this for almost two months!

Would it be more or less work to mold it in glass fiber reinforced epoxy?
Yep, I know, it would *maybe* have been less work two months ago, but right now it´s a seriously stoopid idea.
I´m still impressed by Your patience, looking forward to see the beauty.

Geeeze, that would make a total mess of the kitchen, and would risk making SWMBO angry. The only reason she's not snorting fire so far is that I've managed to avoid littering the house with tools, metal shavings, and discarded attempts at bending the sheet metal (first box).

I spent last evening cutting some of the angle pieces that will be used to construct the framing - I cut 11, and need 13 more that are the same size, as well as a handful of shorter ones.

I play on laying out all the pieces before assembling them so that people can get a good idea of how far over the top I'm going with this.

All in all, it *should* be quite an impressive structure to gave upon.

I haven't used any of it yet. I'm still building the damned duct.

makes my duct look gheto, lol, I just used some striking plate (I think that's what it's called, my father had a roll of it, .040 galvanized steel), I just designed it up in 3d and flated it then cut it out in the right shape, folded and a little duct tape for the seams (every real project needs to have some duct tape ), start to finish about 1-2 hours

Half the fun in succeeding is the multitude of failures on the road towards the final product.

When you can snatch the waterblock from my outstretched hand, you may leave the temple.
