Default Quick connect self sealing fittings, where?

Does anyone know of some 1/2 ID quick connect hose fittings that seal themselves when you pull the hose out?

I found this and this but I'm not sure if that's it, really expensive too. $40.56 for the 4 fittings needed.

The Corsair external unit has some that look like this which is more like what I was thinking of. Cheaper and less industrial than the above probably.

Those CPC ones are the only ones i have come across in the UK, i've been looking for ages for a cheaper alternative, because i'd love the ability to disconnect my external rad, but i can't justify teh money.

Also, those couplers, you can get them self sealing, but i could only see evidence of one side sealing, for example in a pneumatic line, where you want the oompresson side to be sealed, but the air in the rest of the circuit can escape. This would be no good for a liquid. I also couldn't find them in 1/2" either!!

Hope someonoe else has some better alternatives!!

I have fittings like that on a water brace I have for my knee. I was given to me after surgery and it circulates cold water over my knee.

The connectors have a pin which locks on the inside... they work well actually and do not spill much water when they are released even with the pump running.

I have been wanting to find quick fittings like that but I cant find them

There are DESO (double end shot off) quick connects available, though I have not been able to find them with an ID of larger than 3/8". The ones I bought were made by Omega, and have 1/2" barbs on them. Incidentally, I am looking to sell these, so feel free to PM me about them.

I use these same double check disconnects in my system, with the female a bulkhead fitting drilled through the back of the case. I have a fairly high flow system and lost ~.5 gpm with these, as it is worth it to avoid the hassle of draining a 1 gallon system (I use 2 external cooling systems; 1st is in my sig, 2nd is a Techcool 2200 for travel)
