A lright guys. I've finished modding my case. It took 3 days, and the whole time, the watercooling loop was running in an extra bathtub with a water/water wetter mix. I drained that and put the loop in my case. I had already made a mix of water(distilled)/water wetter/low-tox antifreeze. When I put this mixture in the loop, it started bubbling and fizzing like you wouldn't believe.
I took the loop out and put it back in the bathtub. I ran just water through it for a while, until the water was clear. Then, the second I added a slight bit of water wetter, the fizzing started again. What is going on? How can I fix this? My setup is: 4" black radiator OCWC silver waterblock, rese-pump, and hose. Please help me!! TIA! |

Wow some kind of chemical reaction... I dunno but I think the lowtox antifreeze may have some problem with the water wetter.

I was thinking the same thing. I posted this at the [H]ardForum, and some of them said it was too much water wetter. Could that be true? I halfed Chip's formula, 60oz distilled water, 3oz antifreeze(low-tox), and 1oz water wetter.

Lowtox anti-freeze (such as Sierra) is completely incompatible with normal anti-freeze, I'd be that's your problem, being that WaterWetter is meant to work with normal anti-freeze.

Very interesting. Thank you very much, I'll use the normal stuff in the garage.

I'll be mixing it today. I've had a lot of school work and this afternoon will probably be my first chance. I'll post the results then.

I'm still waiting on some dye and other things from Chip. They should have been here today. Maybe tomorrow.
