Default Pro Car Forum

I was wondering if there are other people here with an interest in fast cars? If there are enough of us maybe car stuff would be a good side forum or maybe even sister site?

I am new to the whole auto thing but its addicting and fun, I have alot to learn.

I'm into NASCAR, when I have time, but otherwise, I'm a qualified "Sunday Mechanic".

I am a car geek myself so I wouldnt have an issue with it.
Personally Nascar is a bore-fest. just sit there wastching people go circle after Circle. Its only good to watch for the last 10 laps.

I have the same gripe about IRL but the IRL is getting better in recent months.

CART is a good series no matter how short lived it may be. Its got plenty of problems but they race at road cources and really thats where its all at. I am going to Road America to watch the CART race tomorrow.

ALMS (American LeMans Series) is by far my favorite series. Going to Road America the end of the month to camp for 3 days for the Race.

World Challenge are some of the best racing races there are in motorsports. Very grass roots. same can be said for USTCC.

Rolex/GrandAM - A recent change in rules and car classes has made them another ALMS which is nice to watch some nice endurance races between ALMS races, but they just dont have the drivers yet.

And of course the mother of all motor sports : WRC. - Best drivers on the planet bar none.

I dont like or get into the whole "rice my car for powa!!j00" crap that kids do.. infact I believe thats mainly a sign of some broken gene we havent discovered yet ( like the "class" gene or something).

But sure I will make the forum later tonight.

I would rather see it on another site entirely instead of adding excessive off topic forums to this site. But thats just my opinion.

HA! Nevermind. I just realized this is Pro/Forums. So if we add more stuff then is each topic going to get it's own site like procooling.com?

I already see more off computer topic stuff being added. Would be kinda cool to have a site dedicated to those topics for latest news and what not.... Maybe to much work for Joe though... I don't know... Good luck Joe!

I agree Joe, WRC drivers are by far some of the most talented drives behind a wheel.
Im a fan of all forms of auto racing, and have raced several different forms of cars (off road, TQ's, 1/4 mile, and currently shifter karts).
So if there is racing talk, im here......

awesome! I'm glad that there are people interested in this stuff. I just got a super charged integra GSR (import, rice, whatever) it seems very fast to me. I would love to have a bunch of people that are into similar stuff to trade ideas/knowledge etc...
I look forward to forums to come.

It's a great idea, to expand a bit conversation topics, without trying to compete with specialized sites.

I suggest making it a bit more generic to cover most of the mechanical tastes, and call it Pro/wheels or Pro/motor
