Default psu

Hi, I'm new at H20 and have a question.

I found a PSU that has
+12V, 25A. Can I run a 156W Pelt and the rest of my computer? CDRW,CD,Video Card "Radeon" 2ea. Hard Drives"Raid".

I have a 1gig@1.2gig now but I'm going to put in a 1.33Athlon. Will one 156W pelt keep it cool enough? I'm trying to get as close to 40F or lower. If not what should I expect?

I just purchased a lian li PC-70 case, Aquacoil radiator,Maze2 water block, and a mag 500 pump, tubing is going to be 1/2".

I'm assuming you are looking at the enermax 550.

it IS enough to run a 156watt pelt and the rest of your system.

but a 156 isn't enough to cool anything over 1ghz.

maybe if you get a 50watt 5volt pelt and get the maze2.2 and use both pelts, it might be enough to cool it without extra Power supplies.

note. you don't necessarily need a pelt rated for 5v. a 156watt running at 5v would be about 50 watts.

Thanks that's what I wanted to know. Bummer I just purchsed the maze2-1

Well, I guess I'm going to watercool without the pelt now. I really wanted to run one though.

My friends are betting me I will not get any better cooling.

mine idles @ Zero Celsius, but load temps are no better than straight water.

wonder what would happen if you stuck that peltier on the radiator (the flat casing part) and cooled the peltier w/ a HSF??

sort of actively cooling the radiator.
