74-80 Trail Duster
74-80 Ramcharger If big is what you wish for: 2-192 The largest of them all. From Ford tilt cab trucks built form 58-67. This is the only core I know of with over 200 sq. inches of total cooling finned area volume (220 sq. inches). 2-308 From 71-77 B series Dodge van. This is about equal in total volume to the one you posted about but is square instesd of rectanguler. Edit: both the two extras I list can take 4 120mm per side. Although I doubt it would be hard to build a tapered shroud to mount the save 4 X 120mm fans on the one you posted about. ![]() |

The only 2-192 I see has approx. 106 sq. inches...
10.375 * 10.25 --------------------- 106.34375 sq. inches Is there another vesion? BTW the one I oroginally linked : 2-354, has approx. 95 sq. inches... 12.125 * 7.875 --------------------- 95.484375 Not too much of a difference, and the one I mentioned suits my current purpose better. Thanks for the info BTW.... BrianW

My bad BrianW, I was thinking cubic inches.
Just thought I'd add those other two due to the size of them, as possiblly of interest. Last edited by Blackeagle; 08-09-2003 at 07:20 PM. |

OH MY GOD, is all I can say. I got the heater core today. This thing is huge!!!! I can not wait to get it in my system. Pics to follow when I get off my lazy arse, and get the digi from my sis....
BTW it is the non ac vehicles with the larger engine option for this Heater Core. I asked for 1980 Ramcharger 360ci non a/c to get this one. 90.00 us was the price. All the junkyards in my area do not carry parts older than 1990.... BrianW

A core as old as that style I'd rather order even though it costs.
Just think how much crud you'd be fighting with a old used one. Not worth the hassels. And that core should be a beast. |

I hear ya on the cleaning part, although when I shake the Heater core, there are some metal bits in the bottom tank. I assume it is either solder or some brass bits, either way I will let it be.
As far as windage, I am going to use 2 - 24v Comair Rotron 235cfm Major DC fans, sucking through the radiator. I am building a custom rheo to tame the beasts... BrianW
