I've heard of and seen waterblockes that will use screws between the waterblock and cold plate to clamp the peltier, ex. swiftec's block.
my question is: How much does this help? someone do this test with the swftec block and pelt. use the block without the screws, take the temp. then do the same W/ the screws and post the results. maybe cold plate temp would be sufficient to show the difference, as doing this experiment on a system would be a pain. You could use another pelt for a heat load if you wanted to. Just wondering if its really worth the extra trouble (I don't have a block tapped for screws)

I suppose you'd have to use a sandwich mechanism when doing the no-screws portion of the test. or maybe a vise
