I just fired up my first pelt/water cooled rig, it is working very well except a few things, my voltage mod doesn't seem to work on my A7V133 but am still working on that. My other question is that @ full load, my cpu core temp( using a sensor placed near the slug) is at 22 C, this is before I get my voltage mod done, so I need to step up the cooling, I believe. I am running a 156 watt peltier with a DD Maze2-2, 500 GPH mag drive, Black Ice Rad with a YS Tech fan on it. So, my question is should I use an equal rated pelt(156 watt) or is lesser ok? Anybody ever stack unmatched sized pelts? or should I just get another 156 watt pelt?
Thanks! Jim |

I think the work independant of each other. each moving its own amount of heat from one side to the other. It could care less whats beside it in that maze2.2
just don't screw up and put one in upside down. BTW, what cpu, mhz you running? 22C is pretty good full load temp w/156watt pelt.

I am running a 1.33/266 AXIA Y, I figured out why my voltage mod didn't work, it should be working tonite(I Hope), decided to order a 2nd 156 watt peltier and a new power supply, Enermax 650, would love to keep this at 0 C at all times

I did email TLeufkens and he did reply to anyone that is interested:
"It would not be necessary to use the same wattage, but the THICKNESS must be damn close if not perfect. Not sure if you can find the same thickness in different wattage- they all vary a bit. However you can use the same TEC and run it at a lower voltage if you are having a power issue running two of the 156 watt tecs" Jim |

yeah, good point.
what is your ambient temp? we have just about the same equipment. Is the blackice that much better than the DDcube? how are you powering your current pelt? I've got mine on my system PSU.

I have a very nicely air conditioned office, 70-73 F, the temp is being measured with a thermal sensor mounted on the side of the Slug. With the single 156 Watt Pelt, it is running off the system PSU, a PCPowerandCooling 425 Watt Turbo cool PSU, but as of now, my system is down, voltage mod went very bad, new motherboard on the way
