which is better? I have to decide which one to put first in series for a dually system. I'd like to put the better performing one on the main cpu.

maze3: tried and true, plain shaped, better then effective, good for its price.
maze4: disputable performance, cosmetically attractive, effective.

Maze3: decent performance at a high price
Maze4: crappier performance at a high price, but using less materials so there is a larger net profit per block It is a marketing ploy. Get the Maze3, or buy a better block. The Maze4 is an overpriced piece of crap.

BUT the official word per the DDen website... maze4 performs better. If I see it in writing, I must believe it.

I have to agree with redleader there, if you're going to call $40 high priced, what isn't?

I have both and tested extensively with both.
Maze 3 outperformed Maze 4 by about 5C! Yes, you read that right. |

Hydor L30 pump
.5 inch ID tygon tubing. Black Ice Xtreme Flow diagram: Pump -> Rad -> Block -> Res -> Pump The only place the flow slows down would ne in the rad, and the res. The tubing is pretty straight for the most part. I hooked up the entire system and took it apart 3 times for each block ensuring I get accurate results. The Maze 3 outperformed the 4 by 5C running at 23C ambient....the temps would be: Maze 3: 30-32 idle to load on all 3 tests. Maze 4: 35-39 idle to load on all 3 tests. |
