He is talking about the BTX that just been announced. From what I have seen it is a step backwards as the air enters the front, hits the CPU cooler, the heat from the CPU cooler then goes to the GPU and out. Yeah let's heat up the hot GPU with Hot air off the CPU. That's much better.

The current ATX IMO is much better. You can easily control the air flow on a good case and supply fresh cool air to both the CPU and the GPU at the same time. BTX is also one crowded whore with little room to mod. Stricky OEM/marketing hype IMO. But we will see.

i agree, i think btx is a bad idea. i think it's all just driven by money. this way everyone has to upgrade their cases and PSUs at the same time.

WTX just couldnt generate enough money to buy new motherboards, since all ATX mobo's would mount in em

exactly. i wish whoever came up with btx would have conspired with just the PSU mfrs instead of case mfrs. 'cause now my few-months-old $100+ lian li case is just looking at me saying "congratulations! i'm obsolete!".

dammit. that's why i buy nice cases, so i can keep them for years.
