Default Help a newbie with peltiers please....

Hi guys, I have some questions about peltier cooling. Bear with me, as I am a complete newbie to watercooling/pelts. I mean I have a general idea of how it works but I got some questions for you gurus.

If I do get a pelt, I am worried about powering the sucker....I am planning on getting a 156W TEC from www.overclockershideout.com for my 1GHz Tbird.

This is the PSU I am planning on getting:
http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamps/2423.html

Now how the heck am I supposed to wire the peltier to this PSU? I am a complete newbie to wiring stuff like this...some people were talking about a dummy load....what is that?

How would the system work then?? Do I have to turn on the watercooling first, then pelt and then the whole system???

I hope you can help me. Thanks guys!

looks like a good p/s ,i use a 24 volt 20 amp p/s for my 120watt tec "it's 24 volt" and a old 12 volt battery charger for my 12 volt pumps,so i must turn on the pumps then turn on the peltier before i fire up my system.the p/s you listed should not need a dummy load, it's only needed for computer p/s"s.I am going to make a main p/s box with control of both p/s and the computer.one switch for everything.also auto shutdown for any over heating."would suck to come home to a meltdown".

Wow hey thanks man!!

Ok so guess I don't need a dummy load!! Thanks. So generally you start the pump first, then the pelt and finally the computer. Do you wait between powering each component??? If so, how long do you wait?
