Just wait til they realize that some software requires that you stick a big dongle in your communication port to work properly

Good one pH!
I got a good laugh out of that article. And did you catch the part where companys are supposed to report any money gained from the slave trade of well over a century ago? To the LA city goverment? Never mind that the people who had any involvement in such slave trading have all been dead for a very long time. |

I find it discouraging that this is reality though. Seems like something out a of Sci-Fi movie. How the hell is "slave" and "master" dicrimatory. IT A FREAKING COMPUTER PART!!! Next we will have the AACDA (America Against Computer Discimination Association).

You guys do know that calling your computer's mainboard a "motherboard" is sexist, right?
Someone should be sued. |

Heaven forbid the daughter card should require a male connector! Or what about a FEMALE connector!

See I agree wiht LA. maybe change to be "Nigga" or "Honkey" for the selectors... no more of this master/slave stuff, lets cut past all the formalities and call it what it is

heh... did you notice at the end of the article that there's a requirement that all companies doing biz with the city disclose any "profits they may have made from slavery in the 19th century"?

Huh, maybe this sort of thing explains my constant urge to fill every slot.
Am I a prevert for really, really liking daughtercards? Will I now need to use the exact same number of male-male, male-female, and female-female cables? Can I mention the size of my hard-drive? Should I be ashamed of the occasional floppy? Where can I get a headphone-jill? When your data travels by bus, are you eco-friendly or merely too poor to afford a fleet of PCI-SUV's? Must I use a mixture of Brights and DIMMs? |

most of the connectors on the back of my motherboard are female, and they have to take all sorts of devices. but my CPU has male pins... why cant a female connector get an important job like this? dont get me started on the amount of bandwidth that male connectors get over the females for doing the same job.
