My thoughts... and mine only... maybe

Drop the BIX2... they have a 120.2 heatercore there... get that... May not look as "nice" but will be much better in perforamnce... ( Paint it too )

Bayres are nice... but if you want convinient as far as fill/bleed go for the cylider res ( cannot think of name :shrug: ) its the other one they sell there... or even go for a T-line.

Pump... that or Hydor L30.... tight on space get an L30...

Drop the shim... prolly cause more trouble than its worth.

Make sure you get thermal adhesive for the ram sinks

I'm getting a similar setup except (other than P4 stuff) Swiftech MCP600 (generally regarded as the best pump), Danger Den Heater Core (modified Chevette Heater Core!!), Vantec Stealth fans (the quietest I've found at 28db) and the Danger Den cylinder res.

I don't need a relay cos the pump is attached to the PSU. The RAM sinks I'm getting are copper OCZ BGA. Also, my radiator only takes 1 fan but it's supposed to be the best on the market so it should be fine.

Depending on what you are looking at....
If you can handle the size, go for the double heater core,
the swiffy MCP600 is the best pump.
Get a cascade CPU waterblock

Cascade can't be ordered. List is too big so Cathar has stopped taking orders as he has to hand make them all (not literally by hand, you know what I mean).

After playing around with a copper cascade for a week or so, I'd agree that the Cascade wb (SS of course) should be tops on any "dream system" list. I also would suggest chilled water if one wants real return on cooling investment.

'Dream cooling system'... yea put my Iwaki WMD30RZT and the guts from my Thermotek chiller in a box about the size of a std atx power supply so I could put it in just about any std case I wanted to...

We can all dream can't we...

Dream system?

Iwaki MD20rlzt pump

Res => X2 chevy single pass heater cores 2-342 Fedco#

CPU=> SS Cascade

GPU => Silverprop Fusion HL

Res => custom DIY

Fans => Delta 130 cfm 120mm X 38mm high pressure monsters.

Reobus => Sunbeam

The above would set ya back about $600.00 time ya get tubes and shipping figured in. But who cares for a dream machine, right?

I'd suggest you drop the shim form your kit, and get the Power Plant II card, not the first version. The original Power Plant cards wern't grounded or insulated, the rev. 2 is both insulated and grounded.

maybe i missed something, but depending on what proc you're using you shouldn't use a shim. i was under the impression that you shouldn't use a shim for one of the AMD xp or higher procs since they've got the pads at the corners. but if that little bit doesn't apply then just ignore this post. my $0.02
