just been looking at a waterpump out of a Mercedes Sprinter van... i whacked 12v through it and it drained my bathroom sink in about 5 seconds.
i'll see if i can do some tests with some kind of mesurement (probably a litre jug and a stopwatch lol ) and post back. looks promising tho, it has a lot of power and is fairly quiet to boot. i was also messing around with a water pump that was going to be used to supply an electric toilet (the ones they use in loft conversions etc.) that was very noisy, but almost as powerfull, and *very* small (i'm talking 50% of a hydor l20 here..) more tomorow ![]()

This is an electric pump used for engine cooling?
What sort of power consumption? maybe you could also measure maximum head? As regards life expectancy, it would be useful to know how this pump works. Brushless motor would be nice ![]() Edit: just found this link, with specs for electric water pumps... ![]() This one looks pretty tame ![]() Last edited by lolito_fr; 01-12-2004 at 04:22 AM. |
