If the chasis is tied to anything, it has to be tied to ground. Never neutral (think about what would happen if there was a break in the neutral wire in the cord/wall). A two prong plug implies electrical isolation of anything that can be touched.

N07 means 100V (and a Japanese plug, I think). It'll run a hair hot on standard US voltages.

i believe the OP suffers from 50hz supply syndrome, so a 20RZ doesn't have a good curve....

ill add anther fast Q here ..

as i have 50hz 220v connection at my house , wich motor will be better ?
i know i will lose some head for the american motor due to the 60-50hz diff , but i dunno much about the JAPANESE motor .. whats it freaquancy n stuff .. will it be better ?

It will run at 50 or 60 hz, that isn't a problem. However it is 100v. 220 would be too much for it.

well , the volts aint much of a problem coz u can get an addaptor right ?
if it runs on 50HZ then with an addaptor is would work better ...

Well japan runs either 50 or 60 Hz electricty depending which part of the country you're in, so I have no idea which Iwaki make their pumps for specifically, if either. Your best bet would be to mail them and ask.

Maybe I didn't say it properly. It will accept 50 and 60 hz. It will just run slower on 50.
