Re: snap 4100 asain language
I did a full restore by starting the unit with the reset selected and then pressed the reset 5 times and restarted the system. This cleared the password but still in the wrong language.

Re: snap 4100 asain language
Look under the server settings (admin) you should have a option there.

Re: snap 4100 asain language
Do a 4 LED Flash reset (not 5)...
Then use assist rather than log straight in by IP (it has an initial setup that will set the language to the language of your client).

Re: snap 4100 asain language
On the pull down menus for language support on mine you want the middle options. US English and 437. There is also a option in the bios for International support. But I know of no one who needed these.
You can reinstall the OS and load the english files if needed. But at v2 you need to do some updates.

Re: snap 4100 asain language
Does it matter if I do not drives installed? Can I access the Bios? How do I reload the OS? Where do I get it from?

Re: snap 4100 asain language
The OS is retained in flashram so it should not, but may be needed to change lang sets. The only option in bios is if international is enabled or not.
If you contact Adaptec and ask nicely through an email support request, they have been providing v3.4.807, last free version. You must pay $$$ for v4. To reload OS you will need assist, since you can not read the screens.
