Re: Sythe Orochi - 10 heat pipe CPU cooler
Well, I'll post my opinions in a different post (this one) so here are my thoughts:
Looks like it has more surface area than any other air cooler I've seen and should work well passively (or better than most) But on the con side I'd be a bit worried for those with tower cases because, by the looks of it, this thing could cause some damage to the motherboard (but then again I have not seen the mounting gear)

Re: Sythe Orochi - 10 heat pipe CPU cooler
Hello all!
I will be the lucky reviewing this heatsink. I have quite a few tests that I would like to conduct on this to see what this heatsink can take. I have been wanting to test this since the first time I saw it! I won't put my guesses out until the review. You will have to wait |

Re: Sythe Orochi - 10 heat pipe CPU cooler
Hehe very true. I really would be scared to leave that motherboard in a tower case... I think the cooler's weight would twist and warp the board over time. Also you'd have one hell of a time getting it in most cases.

Re: Sythe Orochi - 10 heat pipe CPU cooler
Started testing tonight. The tests will be on my QX9650 with speeds from 3.0 to 4.4 with 200mhz increments (400fsb with half multis ). I tested voltages so that it will be stable during these tests. I am doing multiple mounts to make our testing more accurate, so this is just the tip of the iceberg. I am not able to give impressions at this point, and I am only showing part of my data as I don't want to give everything away! Sorry about that
