Specifically for opterons...
I've seen the maze4 and some of the swiftech stuff, is there anything else? Any opinion on which block is the best is appreciated. |

The MCW 6002 seems the best suited to almost all applications...

Specifically for Opterons meaning a dually system? You can get performance as good/better from the Danger Den TDX and #4 nozzle, but only at high flow rates. It is going to be difficult to get 2GPM through 2 TDX w/ #4 nozzle I fear. The performance curve for the MCW600x blocks is a lot flatter; they likely would be a bit better in series.

I am 100% certain the MCW6002 will be better than the Maze4. Check this out:
http://www.procooling.com/html/pro_testing.php Simply select Maze4 and MCW6002 ![]()

![]() ![]() Also, how would you fill a system like the pic I posted, where the reservoir isn't on the very top? I plan on having my water cooling much like his (except for the 6002's of course)... Last edited by opteron_bitch; 07-26-2004 at 05:04 PM. |

why a res? just fill and bleed.
There are a number of ways to fill your system. You could even fill it (and leak test) outside the case. If you fill it by submerging it, then you can do whatever you want. Using a res is still pretty easy - just turn the case until the res is the high point and THEN fill and bleed from there.

RBX doesnt even cover the entire IHS; not speced for A64 use (though they make a top). I would go with the TDX and #4 nozzle instead (at least it's in spec). Not sure you'll get 2 GPM through 2 TDXes though. Swiftech makes the MCW6002 for 1/2" setups

Thanks for your help pHeastus,... So is the dual 6002 config going to be good with the mcp600? Is that your best recommendation?
