Default You can do it! -100 deg C

There's a fellow at xtremeresources that finally hit -100 deg C, with a cascade (two step phase change) system. The name is Baker18.

Otherwise, there's another fellow that is well on track to hit the same mark, and he's outlined in great detail, the work that he's done so far.

Did I link this already?

http://www.icecoldcomputing.com/index.php

(I just thought that our phase change Forum needed some input).

Theres a few people around xtremesystems with sub -100 temps too. Its really interesting to see the things people are able to build almost from scratch.

IIRC, pc ice made a cascade that went as low as -167 (no load).

Unloaded temps don't matter very much.

I don't think he had a 78 degree differential between the block and the die. You could use cotton as a TIM and do better then that.
