Justified opinions. It isnt cool to sell a customer a product that is not fully tested and reliable, that is like selling someone a Ford Explorer with firestone tires, there is no justification for it.

In the end it will only hurt Nvidia as they try to rush something out the door to compete with ATI. And if it has problems word will spread and sales will fall.

I am pleased with the fatc that they voiced their opinion.
GPUs have been the most eventful and hectic field in the last year or two. I appreciate that Toms wants to do "proper" testing. I found their testings to be quite convincing in the past and I will definitely continue to fall back on their reviews when it come to vid cards. I think they should be applauded for standing up against the big-players, in an attemp to further benefit their readers. SenC. |

I don't know... This looks more like a PR effort intended towards the readership, to try to recreate some trust: Tom's HW is too often off, and it has nothing to do with rushing things, like that article claims.
If they're so concerned with these "issues" with ATI and NVidia, then why are they posting this publicly? Also, why does this article come from "Omid Rahmat" and not Tom himself? The stench of fish continues to propagate, even online. |

I don't know how many of you remeber the first relase of word and wordperfect for windows.
MS rushed word out the door and it was buggy as hell.. Wordperfect was made as bugfree as (what ever their level of buggfree is) wordperfect was released 6 months after word. unfortunatly 6 months to late... word had at that time already made a dent in the marketplace. now rule of thumb is... get it out the door... fix any problems later. now this is done a lot more often... and not only by MS

Wanna hear a real horror story?
I work on medical record software. Last Monday morning, we released a new version of our software. We went to feature freeze at 4:30pm on the previous Thursday. That's just ONE working day from final coding to release. The more astute of you may have noticed that I said nothing about testing...

on a related note: I went to their front page and saw the add for "3rd eye" feature of abit motherboards ... it said "See What Other's Can't" ... I though it was "Others" not "Other's" ... I guess making a simple animated GIF was a rushe process, too ...
