Default Stealing My Name

I find it interesting that one of the writers for this website has chosen to use my name as if it's his own. It's not like I'm just some nobody that had a cool name. I have been around the overclocking and watercooling scene for a LONG time. I've written about 20 articles over at www.pimprig.com. Seeing as Pimprig is a commercial website, and my name was used there, it's possible I have the right to claim it as a Registered trademark. You'd be wise to stop trying to pass yourself off as me.

Exactly - I _am_ one of the writers @ PimpRig & had never heard of the guy before his virtually identical post at PR (http://forums.pimprig.com/showthread.php?t=26664).

btw, Spectrum & I are not here to TP your site - we just want to reassure that this jerkweasel is nothing to do with us

I don't believe that user names can be copyrighted, but one is always welcome to try. That'll involve so many legal wranglings that I couldn't even begin to list them.

I'm signed up as BigBen2k on many sites, and other than the name, only my avatar and sig make me unique, but certainly not reproducible somewhere else.

Isn't this in the TOS (Terms of Service) page somewhere? Nope, no mention of it... tsk tsk tsk!

Hey Joe, wasn't Unaclocker banned from these forums years ago?

If so, can you please ban Una-clocker as well by association?

Some proof please? I see no evidence of you ever posting anything at pimprig, and I would assume we would know if you had really done what you said in this quote:

I'm all for some sort of system where you can send a signal through the internet and detonate someones computer. It'd be like a logic bomb, but much more fun. Now, if only they had a webcam, and you could somehow tap it to see their face as the explosion happens...

What good does this thread do? Nothing to nobody.

Go cry your heart out on someone else's forum.

Yeah, It's still on my friend's machine in non stop use since the day I got it. I was just going to go over to their forum, and point out that for a "nobody" it's awefully odd that I have a waterblock NAMED AFTER ME. heh..

From PimpRig's own "About Us" page...
"PimpRig has been online since June of 2001" hahahaha.. Let's see the date on one of my articles...
http://www.procooling.com/articles/h...ap_-_una__.php Hmmm.. AUGUST of 2000... And that was just one of my first articles HERE.. Joe recruited me from my own little homepage I was posting articles on before that.

Mine is totally original too. I thought it was an extremely unique name that I'd finally never have to defend against people stealing. Whatever.. I have gotten the name "UnaClocker" registered on just about every site on the net over the past 5 years or so. I should have been more vigilant and nipped this problem before it started.

Mine is unique enough, and harkens back to one of my favorite, semi-old video games. It also fits my own opinion of myself, so it works perfectly. I haven't found anywhere where I would want to use it that it was taken, other than AIM.

I think I'll copyright my Day of defeat nicks - "Squishy Tampon of Discomfort", and "Fermenting Anal Polyp". I just know one of you bastards are gonna try to steal one or both of 'em.

And if you do, well, I'm gonna... um.. er.... mmm.... I'M GONNA TELL MY DAD!

Well, Una, if you wanted to keep the nickname, you should have been keeping active in the scene, eh? I'd like to see you back in action, but ... your choice, eh? As for pimprig, well I don't read them and probably won't. They have their nice little clubhouse and we have our own place to chat. For the most part, I don't think they intersect.

Better to let the pimps alone, imo.
