I Wrote a Poem

I was really bored today, so I decided to write a poem.

It is a poem about hardship, and the trials and tribulations that life throws at us. I am sure we can all relate, as we have all felt like this at one time or another.

Feel free to post comments.

The poem is called "Here I Sit"

HERE I SIT

Here I sit, broken hearted.
Came to shit, but only farted.

Here I sit, my bowels retarded.
I just can't seem to get them started.

Here I sit, my stool undaunted.
Sweet relief is all I wanted.

Here I sit, my rectum haunted.
I feel as if I'm being taunted.

Here I sit, with my desire to extrude.
Still the poop refuses to protrude.

Here I sit, arduously straining to obtrude.
Alas, success continues to allude.

Here I sit, absorbed in thought.
Agitated and distraught.

Here I sit, my battle's fought.
All my efforts lead to naught.

Perhaps 'Success' is what he named the obstinate blockage, and its attempting to make an indirect reference to something.

There is something seriously wrong with you... Really creative, though, I guess... I'm not sure if I should be fostering this sort of creativity.

I entered it into a poetry contest.
I might win $1000

:-)

That would be a dark dark day for literature if I wind up winning, but at least Id'e be able to pay my tuition.

hahahaha 2 hours lol
i wrote this poem in like 5 min. for my g/f

I understand that the words from you are home
my only wish is to say it so you will know

i ask the Lord if i could take you to his throne
my love for you will truly be known

your love is like an angels wings to me
they keep me warm and make my spirit free

what was once a lifetime seems to pass so soon
all of my time i want it to be with you

if i can be with you forever in eternity
it will go too fast and pass too quickly.

so i want to take the time now while i am here
to stop for a moment and thank you my dear

thank you for the time that you sacrificed
all of your time and all of your life

when you give it to me i wont let you down
i cherish you so much, that i will make everyday as
special, as the one when you wear that gown.

Writing great poetry is like the making of the sex. He who finishes first is not always the winner. But he who performs the greatest, he is the true champion.

In other words, what I'm trying to say is, it doesn't matter that you took less time, because my poem is the shit, whereas, your poem is merely just a piece of shit.

See? Similar, yet different.

But hey, don't get too down. We can't all be cunning linguists like myself. You should feel good, after all, you are the greatest master debater of them all.

Wow, $1000 would be enough to pay your tuition? That wouldn't even scratch the surface of my schooling debt.

naw, not even close here either.

I have about $7000 in grants/scholarships, about $5000 in loans, and I have to pay between $2000 - $4000 (depending on what day it is, who I talk to, and how the planets are aligned at the time that I ask) in cash out of pocket.

So, to answer your question, no, the $1000 wouldn't begin to dent my debt either, but at least it will bring me closer the the ~$4000 cash that I have to pay before I can register for the next semester.

Well, either hell has frozen over, or the first signs of the Apocalypse are upon us.

Apparently, I have been nominated for some badass poetry award for my wonderfully composed poem.

The nomination letter is hella long, so I have attached it as a .txt. Feel free to read it.
