Default Website Host Recommendations

Well I'm starting to look for a new host for a lot of my personal stuff. It's mainly pictures. My current host hasn't really upgraded their accounts that much and I find their space rather restricting. I'm wondering if you guys have any recommendations for a host will allow me to store around a gig of stuff and I don't have a huge need for massive bandwidth.

I've tried looking around for a new host but here are so many bullsh*t website reviews that it's hard to find something. Could you recommend me a host or a site that does accurate reviews of hosts?

Thanks in Advance.

I don't know if this is the absolute cheapest solution, but I know the guy who runs
www.schostpro.com
and I have been a satisfied customer for the past two years. In terms of uptime and support (even when your question is stupid) I've been impressed.

I guess if I were in your situation (hosting pictures) I'd get a basic account with an extra GB of storage (1350 megs total) for $7 a month (8GB monthly bandwidth) or an advanced account (750 megs storage, 18GB bw, $10/month)

I used Ehostpros.com for the longest time, best price/benefit of any other provider I have seen. Plus you get cpanel, and you can install many scripts just by pushing a button. PHP, SQL, everything for $3/month 200mb and 10gb bandwidth.

Upgrades are very fair and cheap as well. I'd say thier uptime and speed is pretty good as well. Overall, they are the best I have used so far.

I use a local company called 4DWebHosing.

Linky:
http://wbta.us/index.php?option=com_...sk=click&bid=2
(It gives me a free month if you sign up).

I use it for the WBTA website (wbta.us).

CGI, PHP, MySQL, Perl, C++, FP, SSI, 400MB storage, 10 GB bandwidth for $4.95 a month (and yeah, you can save a month by signing up other people too!). It's even cheaper if you buy 6 or 12 months in advance. Plenty of features here, except SSL.
