Default 4 of my blocks and the Maze 4 test results.

I figured now is as good a time as any to start testing. I spent the day testing 4 of my better blocks against the DD Maze 4.

Test Bench:
Epox 8K7A
XP1700+ @ 1500+ speed 1.55Vcore
VIA 2600 pump
Cheapo Multi meter with Type K thermocouplers. 1 mounted under CPU and one for water temp.
Small heater core with Delta 120mm fan at 5Volts.
CPUBurn running K7Burn for 1.5 hours per block. 1/2 hour warm up and 1 hour of manual temp logging taking an average for the end result.
Water temp was 24C for all blocks.

Yes the test system sucks but got to start somewhere. Better test bench under construction. http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=11395

Here is what I came up with today:

In the future. http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=11395

This thread will serve as a experiment. I will test all 5 blocks with each step of progress on my test bench. I will start to aquire the equipment in that thread linked above or similar. As I do I will set the parts up and retest the blocks.

I got none of it right now. Parts subject to change as I do more research. I got about $1,000 cash set aside right now and probably another $1,000 in 3-6months. When I get a setup I am happy with lined up I will start ordering parts. Right now I am buying some lesser parts to get by with such as a FlowTube style flow meter and possibly that CrystalFontz unit 9mm has.

ahh ic... well we all got to start somewhere. Its best not to rush into buying 2g's worth of test equipment.

but i must say the more i learn about test equipment, the more it makes me want to through my arms up in frustration and say to hell with it. Its really the most agrivating experience ive ever encountered. But with all of this i hope to be able to give some extra guidence to forum members that ask me what they should get to build a wc setup (average of 3-5 new setups per week)

Just noticed I got the wrong info for the PinGrid 1 block in that last graph. Will update soon.

Updated graph with fixed PinGrid1 numbers and more blocks added. Graph is pretty busy and hard to read but lower the line the better. I will be working on a different way to show the performance numbers in some kind of text chart for easier reading. Note the difference between PinGrid1 and PinGrid1B is due to removing of pins on the B version. I thought the performance would be worst but turns out ot be better... More on the PinGrid1 block later.
