Default Need a pump w/a 3/4" intake

i built a custom res w/ a 3/4" barb and i don't want hose adapters or other stuff before the pump if i can avoid it

i need a pump with
-3/4" intake.
-A/C or D/C doesn't matter
-$70 or less
-very reliable
-1/2" output helpful
-quiet is a plus (though i built a very effective shroud on my current pump)

does ehiem 1048 or 1250 have 3/4" intakes?

i'm replacing a slow leaking mag2 (don't ask) so it won't be hard to get better preformance

aquaextreme 50z. $80 and changeable barbs and highly recommended by Cathar. Invest the $10 and some more for shipping.

Ehiem I believe is 3/4 barb on the intake side.

Note, those are BSP thread sizes rather than barb sizes.

no, they are barb sizes on the 60hz eheims sold in the US (where the OP is situated) -

a) the thread sizes in an eheim (in the UK/EU) are 3/8" BSPT (1048 in/ou, 1250 out) and 1/2" BSPT (1250 in)
http://www.coolercases.co.uk/wc_fittings.htm
b) US eheims use NPT fittings i believe (same nominal sizes..)
