I decided to upgrade my caimbridge soundworks fps 1000 (yes they used to make a 1000 :P). So i went to the klipsch website to order a v4.1 system...4 speakers and 1 subwoofer. Well, they were sold out, so i ordered 2 2.1 systems and there was a diagram on how to hook them together to get a 4.2 system. well...Daaaaaaaaaaaamn!
I turned the thing on with the volume knobs up about halfway...and the subwoofer setting about halfway too. Started an Unreal tournament game...right as i joined the game...someone splatted me with a redeemer....the whole freakin room started shaking!...My brother fell off the couch and started yelling at me to turn it down (or so he tells me....i couldn't hear him)...cackle! Anyway..since this is the hardware recommendation section...i highly recommend these speakers. The individual 2.1 systems are $179-199, they sell two of them for $299...kind of a good deal. At least while they are out of the 4.1 systems. Oh yeah...having a subwoofer in front and behind you...kinda rocks...just a little :P later. ------------------ 1.2Tbird @1352 air cooled. I have the 4.1 system...its so clear and the bass coulnd be better...its comparable to a car 12" sub. The clarity is far beyond the Altec THX 880's I used to have (bass is way beyond). They are definately worth the money. Full surround sound in Undying is sooo much better

19 inch monitor? Take a gander at the viewsonic pf790. It's just about the best 19 inch on the market. retails for around $500, but you can get it online for under $400. I bought 3 of them at christmas for $380 a piece.
