Default DH3 Roars to life tonight! Possibly Posted Next Friday!

The Very complicated, and extensive cooling system in DH3 will be filled and fired up tonght! Maybe a pic or 2 will be posted

Every night for the last 4 weeks I have been bust'n my hump on it and its about 99% done!
If all goes well I will start on the write up this weekend, and hopefully have it up by Friday.

was thinking... This write up may very well be Sharkey Extreme lenght!! hehehe I woudlnt doubt this to be a 15 - 20 page article ( it will be well indexed though, and broke up into parts)

Argh.. I have got a BAD case of rug burn on my knees ( not from that .. sicko's) but from working on my floor on DH3 ALL NIGHT.

I found some wire'n issues and had to cut and re-solder about 6 lines so that took a while, I got the modd'd DD5 put back in and hooked up, and I just shocked myself twice in a row with 2 switches which are DPDT switches.. so when they are "off" the energise the other set of prongs. ( which I knew about and just avoided for now.. but I landed my hand on em TWICE tonight.)... 120v gets yer heart pump'n a bit... but it doesnt hurt.

I will throw a pic up tomarrow, DH3 is spread all over my floor to re do this stuff, I also want to get the NEON put in before I put any pic's up.

Tomarrow you will have some pic's, no many, but some.

I have a few more changes I want to make on it also that I just thought about. I went for like 1 month without even scratching myself in this project, and today I have cut, bumped, bruised, crushed, and slammed parts of myself in DH3... I am hurt'n pretty bad right now

K guys you get 1 Pic, this is of DH3 as done as it is from 5 min ago. I got the Neon put in ( WHAT A BITCH IT WAS... the 2nd tube you cant see its tucked away next to the 5 1/4 bays.. talk about a pain I just spent 2 hours on that!)

Fat People are not meant to bend in the ways I was to get this stuff in, but the ONLY thing left to do with DH3 is to Mix the special coolant and some other minor things. I think I got all the major stuff done. brb with a pic

Ok guys here it is, I had a real hard time picking one, since there is SO much going on in the box. I picked just an overview.

yes there are 3 areas blurred, whats behind those is a secret.

BTW you can see soem of the mod'n I did to one of the radiators. the one further away from you doesnt normally have a hose connection on the top

heh heh heh

I think that I know too...

I am assuming Joe that that blur to the far right is either a liquid cooled PSU or a heat exchanger unit (I think the latter). I cant quite think what those other things are but I will have to see. Good work Joe!!!

Well that's all for me...

Nope.. But I was thinking of a flow meter.. but it was too much too late.

Also they arent that ground breaking, just something that I havent seen used before.. so dont think its some hyper high tech thing

I think they are waterblocks, I first thought he was covering the PSU's name so he wouldn't get sued or something for free advertisement, but then I said nah.

Nope not water blocks. and the PSU is just some generic 300watt jobber I had laying around. I am pondering swapping it with a 431 450 or 531 watt PSU. ( concerned as having a 531+ the 300watt for the computer+ the pumps = over 850watts = over 20 Amps on the 120V exceeding the rating for the wire/Switches/and house wireing. so I gotta be careful a 431 or 450 seems like a good bet though. how else can I power 2 120+watt Pelts?

Heres some pic's you'll enjoy its of my living room from what it was this morning when I did the final soldering on DH3 and fully finished the machine, and then tonight after clanging my living room back into a living room and not a metal/electrical shop

Before

After

OOPS there is a pic of DH3... doh..

All the tools and plumbing parts are in all the boxes to the side of it. ( the dremel case is between my nice Skill Drill case and the box. the PC in the back is my soon to be all AOpen Test box. (with a very simplified version of DH3's cooling system ( Only 1 Loop) )
