Overclocking W/Raid
I read an article concerning overclocking a mobo with raid configeration. It stated that they do not overclock as well as a board without it. Is this true and can anyone explain why. I was going to get the KG7-Raid but if it impairs the ability to Oc I will get something else.

any bus OC'n can impact I/O devices at some level. if you use good drives you shouldnt have an issue, just make sure you have backups.

In my experience the on-board raid controllers definateley do not handle higher
speads well @ all for the most part. Good drives bad drives they have there limits. Im sure like anything else there is always a sweet spot and certain configurations of drives boards and RAM all work great for one system and not another. The small of it all is that raid tends not to be able to overclock as high as most IDE systems will. |
