USB Floppy Question

Where I work, we just got some USB floppy drives for a bunch
of our laptops that for some reason didn't come with one OEM.
These things work GREAT!

But I was wondering if anyone has some experience with these
and our newer, more modern system boards.

The reason I ask....I generally don't install floppy's in any of my
desktop machines. I just do most everything offa CD. But on
the odd occasion that I need to Diag a machine, I'd like to
quickly connect a floppy and boot to one of my "Magic Boot Disks".
Does anyone know if our newer system boards support booting
off of a USB floppy drive?

I don't dare ask to borrow one of the drives from work, as I've
only been there three weeks at this site, so...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

And you can boot your typical desktop with it?
