How much water do you use?

I've been running my water cooled system for about two weeks now and have a few questions.

1. How much water did it take to fill your system? Mine uses about three cups of water! Seems like that isn't very much to cool the system.

2. Did you guys mix 4 oz of water wetter to each gallon of water?

3. What kind of die do you use to change the water color?

Just seems like the longer I'm running this the less impressed I am. I run about 92F idle and 98f while playing games for hours. During a hot day (like today), the system will run at about 110f due to the increased ambiant temp. Maybe I'm being critical becuase I'm running water now but does this seem right?

Config:
Athlon XP 1800+ (155x11.5 @ 1.85v)
DD Maze 2
DD GF block
DD Super Cube (one 120mm fan on each side)
1048 Pump

i don't like F&B systems, try building yourself a res... it's also easier to control the water level in the system...
4 oz is too much for a gallon i think... 1oz is enough...

i dont know the exact amount of water but it isnt that much at all.

i forget what the exact amount of water wetter you should add per gallon but there are instructions that should have come with the bottle you got.... thats widely tested to be the best ammount. its been proven that too much can hurt your temps so be careful.

dont use dye, but www.caseetc.com has some

with ambient temps of about 22C my load temps are at 30C (1.0@1.2, 1.80v, spir@l, heatercore)

for an inline system 3 cups is just right, I'm not using water wetter, dye, or any other additive in mine.

Your temps are a little high, but what is your ambient temp?

Brad,

I am adding one additional probe to the outside of the case to check the ambiant temp. If I did put too much water wetter in the system, would this cause the system not to perform up to it potential? I know there was 2oz to each half gallon of distilled water.

compare the ambient temp to case temp, to water temp to cpu temp, and find out where your main temp gain is
