Default How do I convert images to lineart?

Anyone know of a program that does this? I have Photoshop 5.5, but that doesn't seem to have a utility to do this. I need to convert the ProCooling logo to lineart to make some business cards. I need a business card w/ ProCooling's logo in order to be eligible for an E3 ticket. And unless i wanna pay the business card company an extra $50, I need a lineart version of the logo. Any ideas?

Isn't LineArt a vector format? If so then it is impossible to convert raster images to vector images. You'll probably have to start from the beggining in vector form.

Yeah I think lineart may be a vector based thing. Shit... maybe i'll just design my own business card w/ the logo not as lineart and get kinko's to print me up like 5 of them and i'll send one to E3...

n00 b0y Thought this would be a good time to get me feet wet, so to speak. I think you'd get some use out of adobe Streamline. Converts bitmap graphics to vector. I believe the site has a free trial version http://www.adobe.com/products/streamline/main.html

Or, go ghetto and import into Flash, then use the trace bitmap command. I'm pretty sure you can then export as an illustrator file.

See if your version of Photoshop will export/save-as to Adobe Illustrator format files or EPS files. Both are vector format

For that matter, just do the entire business card in Photoshop and save it as an EPS file, then take it to your business card creator of choice
