NEED HELP: What's better? 1-500GPH pump, or 2-250GPH pumps???

well, most of the time people just run 2 pumps for redundancy, you dont get much more advantage out of it, 2 pumps doesn't mean double flow either. There is not much to gain from dual pumps and danners are pretty reliable anyway, just get a single pump

one pump would be easier, but 2 would be much cooler. why not go for one 500gph and one 250gph
