I don't know :P

I'm looking at raid 5, but I don't know, I'm going to do more research first. this card seems to suck at raid 0 from what I've read

jason, I was expecting a bit of a rant too. I was actually deciding Promise TX4 + 4x 40gb barracuda IV's or some adaptec raid controller + 2x X15's. I'm now thinking of 6x 40gb barracuda IV's

now bench it! I want to see how little performance increase there is over Software Promise RAID. If I remember right there is actually not supposed to be much of an increase in speed from the software version. it just lowers CPU utilization.
